Unfiltered and unstabilized.
From the small vineyard in Traganes, on the undiscovered side of Nemea, where the soil is full of pebbles. The plants have been hardened off, both by the poor soil and the complete lack of any fertilization for at least 14 years.
Over-mature Agiorgitiko harvest, very low yielding from stumps over 30 years old. Solid red, aromas of red fruits of the forest, caramel, nuts, pepper and chocolate. On the palate excellent concentration (indicating low yields) and wonderful balance. Mouth full, exuberant with chiselled tannins that do not make the increased alcohol noticeable. Long aftertaste which with the other elements suggests several years of life.
AGING POTENTIAL : 15+ years
Gastronomic pairings : braised, red meats, BBQ, sausages, spicy, yellow cheeses.
